| • The UConn Plant Science Department announces the availability of Soil Formation and Classification (formerly PLSC 205), 3 credits, this fall. This is a course that is required if one wants to be a certified soil scientist in the state of CT, so interested surveyors should take advantage of this opportunity. We only offer it in alternate years, so tell them to act now to ensure complete satisfaction. But wait, there's more! This class is scheduled 5-6:30 on Thursday and 9-1 on Saturday for lab, which makes it available for people who are working and need to come in to the University just for the course.
• This Fall there is a one-time opportunity to take a NRME geomatics
course in observation adjustments. Observation adjustments is a course
specifically on how to apply least squares adjustments to land
mensuration observations such as those collected with total stations and
GNSS receivers.
